City Dance Corps has a very exciting and unique season, offering courses of all kinds for all different age groups.

Check out our new courses, class packages and deals we are offering for the new dance season. Our program offers top notch youth instruction in a very nurturing and safe environment. We promote fun and fitness while learning the fundamental techniques in dance.

Classes are offered for the following ages:

MOMMY/DADDY & ME (Age 0-2)
This fun and energetic class is a great way to get fit while introducing your little one to the joy of movement through music and dance! Parents can experience the wonders of dance with their new little ones.

INTRODUCTION TO DANCE - Level 1 (Tini -  Age 2)
This course is for the developing tiny dancer. Kids will learn dance through game play and songs, as they develop certain crucial skill sets such as teamwork, creativity, cognitive brain development and self confidence. The introductory dance course is taught by 2 very special instructors, to ensure your child is getting the best hands on dance training in Toronto.

INTRODUCTION TO DANCE - Level 2 (Big Tini - Age 3-4)
This course is a continuation of Introduction to Dance. Kids will begin to focus more heavily on technique.

HIP HOP (Junior, Senior & Teen)
Hip Hop is high-energy, fun and funky, and it is the style which is seen in many dance movies and Television music videos. Choreography is fun, lively and challenging. Hip Hop is set to a strong, contemporary beat, builds stamina, and emphasizes body isolations, attitude, co-ordination, freestyle movement, and rhythm.

JAZZ (Junior, Senior & Teen)
Jazz uses varied techniques borrowed from all over the world, and is influenced by many different dance forms. Jazz dance is a popular dance style demonstrated on CTV's acclaimed show, So You Think You Can Dance Canada!

BALLET (Mini, Junior, Senior & Teen)
Ballet is the foundation to all dance forms, and dates back to the 15th century. Ballet teaches the basics of technique which can be used within many other dance forms. In the younger age groups, kids will begin to explore their creativity through a simple and playful structure, while focusing on ballet technique and dance vocabulary.

*All Mini classes are subject to teacher placement to ensure the best dance education possible for your young dancer.

BREAK DANCE (Junior, Senior & Teen)
Breakdance is a newer form of dance which was created through the Hip Hop culture. It's unique musical and physical styling of street dancing is taught in a positive, non-competitive classroom setting.

TAP (Junior, Senior & Teen)
Tap dance is a form of dance which is characterized by sounds produced from metal plates at the sole and heel of a tap shoe. Different percussive sounds and rhythms will be explored during this fun and challenging class.

SALSA (Junior, Senior & Teen)
This Latin dance form consists of partner work and solo footwork from various parts of Latin America. Instructors are world renowned for their salsa instruction and have been guest instructors at various international events.

CONTEMPORARY (Senior & Teen)
This versatile dance form focuses on emotional expression, and draws itself from modern dance techniques and newer philosophies of movement. Many would recognize this dance style from the hit TV Show, So You Think You Can Dance, and Choreographer Mia Michaels.

CONDITIONING
Conditioning is used to stretch out the dancers body as well as provide some extra technique work.

This is recommended for new dancers.

MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE CLASSES (Mini, Junior, Senior & Teen)
In this unique class, students will work as a team with a Director, Musical Director and Choreographer to create a "show choir" performance for family and friends. Learn to SING, DANCE and Act in a very friendly and nurturing environment. This class is NOT TO BE MISSED!
